Retrofitting/ Social Housing
Service Design
This project is in collaboration with Believe Housing Association in the North East of England. Believe is required to retrofit most of their 10,000+ homes by 2050, as per the Green Agenda. Our Team at Royal College of Art, looked at how might we deliver radical care to the residents through every part of the disruptive retrofit journey. We came up with an energy saving scheme to be delivered across the spectrum.
Financial Security/ Gig Economy
Service Design
We focus on designing a way out of financial instability faced by food delivery riders. Most of the riders have low pay, high risk, no benefits or insurance and hence are more vulnerable than visible. We designed a social enterprise that trains and gives new work prospects to riders while on their busy job schedules, with no offs.
Corruption/ Construction
Research and Writing
Having been both a client and a service provider in the Construction Industry, I found deep holes of corruption that I wished to cover. However, due to the complexity of corruption, I did a deep ecosystemic research and systematized the understanding of the matter. I then picked our one of the smaller sub-systems to analyse and suggest gaos for intervention. In Phase 2 I have collaborated with OPPO through RCA to take a speculative lens on the matter and start the discussions within the industry based on provocative scenarios.
Tea Experience Centre
Experience Design
Assam is one of the largest producers of tea in the world. The state in India, is also a tourist destination but lacks the cultural hubs to showcase its essence. I take the commodity of tea and a deep understanding of the industry and its stakeholders to transform it into an experience for visitors of the state and also tea professionals and industrialists.

This centre reflects the inner workings of the industry through the design of specific nuances in the space and through actitivities. It also promotes rituals that guests can take back and imbed in their lives, staying with them for much longer than just the visit.
